Herbert Drexler is a successful racing driver. When his Porsche GT2 caught fire during a competition in 1998, he decided to end his driving career - and invest his experience in the development of drive components.

Our limited slip differentials are multi-disc locks with the discs pressed on via axle bevel gears and thrust rings. As we manufacture the thrust rings in-house, we have the option of installing a different angle on the accelerator side than on the brake side. And that has a very positive effect on the handling of the vehicle. A limited slip differential from Drexler has a very smooth response and also works when a driven wheel has no contact with the road.
We generally recommend the transmission oil with LS/LSD additive (Limited Slip) recommended by the vehicle manufacturer and the filling quantity specified in the operating manual.
Please refer to your vehicle manufacturer's operating manual for this information on the tightening torque of the screws.
The percentage for the lock value originates from ZF Lenksysteme, which supplied the first multi-disc locks. Here the calculations were still simple, as the installed ramp angles on the accelerator and brake side and the number of friction disks were always identical.
Our aim was always - and still is - to significantly improve the handling of the vehicles. To achieve this, we recommend different angles on the accelerator and brake side. In addition, the number of plates (friction disks) installed varies, which makes conversion into percentages not only very imprecise, but also very time-consuming.
At Drexler Automotive, the locking value (also known as the setup) is specified in angles, which are located on the thrust pads.
Road vehicles: We recommend a limited slip differential check at intervals of 5-7 years or in any case after a crash. The costs for the revision of the limited slip differential are calculated on a time and material basis.
Motorsport: We recommend a check after every season.

Orders can be placed verbally or in writing with our sales team. Once the order has been received, you will receive a binding order confirmation from the relevant person in charge. Order processing is only guaranteed once we have received the confirmation.
New customers can pay in advance by bank transfer or in cash on collection.
The shipping costs are calculated individually for each request based on the delivery address, packaging and weight. Our standard shipping is carried out by UPS Germany, TNT Express or a forwarding agent.
The rear axle or transmission can be delivered to our premises for removal and installation. We have an experienced installation partner for the delivery of the entire vehicle. Please send us your request.
